  • Difference between APP SL & APP DL?

    In APP SL layer there is a singlelayer of PP while in APP DL there are two layers of PP, first layer of PP has pin hole (weak point ) at the same time second layer covers and tends to withstand voltage stress due to this therer are less chances of failure of internal and external fuses of capacitor leading to increase in life span of capacitors.

  • What is difference between APFC and RTPFC. Which one is better? What are its Applications?

    APFC (contactor logic)is required when the load is constant and frequency switching is not required. For example, it is used at Pumping Station, Commercial malls, CNC machines, etc.
    Where as RTPFC is required when the load is very much fluctuating and required very fast response time (i.e. less than 20 millisec.). For example, it is used at Welding load, Press, Crane, Furnace, etc.
    RTPFC can be used instead of APFC, but vice versa is not possible.

  • Is it possible to use derated capacitor?

    Capacitors are used to maintain PF if we use derated capacitor we will not get the desired output.
    It is always prefered that if the output capacitance (MFD) is within limit i.e -5% to +10 % we can use derated capacitor.

  • Which type of tests we are doing before dispatch?

    We conduct all routine test as per IS 13585 (APP) and IS 13340 (MPP)
    1. Capacitance measurement output
    2. Voltage test between terminals
    3. Voltage test between container and terminals
    4. Tan deta losses
    5. Test of internal discharge device.
